We just left the restaurant happily. Extremely high quality and well presented food at a fair price. Each course has a little story and the owner couple are extremely hospitable and very attentive. We'll be back for sure. Absolute recommendation!

We accidentally discovered this restaurant 2 years ago and luckily it is and remains an insider tip in Hamburg! Pietro and his wife have created a small oasis in the city here. No matter whether in the garden or in the cozy rooms of the restaurant - you immediately feel like you are in another world, as if you were far away, on vacation! This is mainly due to the incredible friendliness of Pietro, who is responsible for the service. In the meantime, his wife conjures up incredible dishes in the kitchen. What impresses my husband and me so much is the quality of the ingredients. The two of them choose exactly what they serve their guests and it is always astonishing how different simple things like tomatoes can taste! This quality also extends to the wines and the combination is always a wonderful experience. Every time we spend a small culinary holiday and just want to have a nice evening with nice people, we go to Morellino.

I have rarely eaten so well. My recommendation: Bring some time (and also a little change) and let yourself be taken on a journey through the Mediterranean cuisine that you will not experience anywhere else. It is simply great what the owner couple offers their guests here!

It couldn't be more Italian. Super quality of the food, we ate from north to south through the regions of Italy. For those who only want pizza it is not the right thing. However, if you like good Italian cuisine, you should remember this restaurant. Buon appetite

Great restaurant and host! Our best restaurant experience in many years (and we've tried quite a few places). A super sweet, dedicated and not least talented host couple. Italian food of the highest class with excellent quality ingredients (simple Italian food in the most positive sense of the word). You have to allow yourself to let the host couple control the beat - you are in complete safe hands. Everything was simply top notch, and we will surely return (and are already looking forward to it).

We were there for the first time and absolutely thrilled! It was a beautiful evening with an incredible culinary journey and the nicest hospitality we have experienced in a very long time! You just taste what high quality products are used and how much love the food is prepared with. Also the great advice and knowledge about food and wines-very impressive! One evening, they managed to become our new favorite restaurant.

A wonderful evening with excellent service from the owner himself. We chose the "Journey Through Italy", a compilation of many great courses, and fine wine in a nice atmosphere. Mr. Theiss explains his idea behind the dish, the composition of the high-quality ingredients and was also a very friendly and charming host.

Since it is under new ownership the concept has changed. Was my favorite Italian restaurant in Hamburg. Now I need to search again.

Great restaurant in the family business. Very attentive waiters, even the jacket is removed and helped back into it. The surprise menu was delicious and the wine recommendation was great. It is an upscale atmosphere with very nice amenities.

Usually zero stars. If a restaurateur thinks a group of six people in an almost completely unoccupied restaurant not accept and also with such a derogatory view announced I have no understanding how it can come to a "secret tip" in the gourmet. This location has not only lost six customers but certainly also the majority of the circle of acquaintances. Good luck with your attitude, seemingly only considering the Supreme 10,000 at all.

The La Scala is in my opinion one of the best restaurants in Hamburg. It is an absolute taste experience every time! The prices are quite high, but you still get something for your money.
